The Wa, Navrongo and Nyankpla Campuses of the University for Development Studies are to be converted into independent Universities for the Upper West, Upper East and the Northern regions.
This is in line with Government’s intention to establish one public University in every administrative region of the country.
Speaking at a national summit on tertiary education in Accra, the Minister of Education, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, said government will continue working to ensure that tertiary education receives the needed attention it deserves.
