Seasoned journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has called on the various political parties to be vigilant during the Election Day.
Speaking on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’, Kweku Baako noted that he has no problem with the IGP’s call for some names to be inserted into the special voters’ list.
He explained that it may be in the right order if the IGP is pushing for the new recruits to be part of the special voting.
To him, it won’t disturb the special voting system unless the recruits are not qualified electorates with their names registered in the voters’ register.
In his candid view, the issue boils down to political vigilance that the parties would put a check mark on the EC.
He also called on the EC to call for an IPAC meeting over the IGP’s request.
“If they can call for IPAC meeting and check the documentation and records, and [Kwame] if the party agents will continue to exercise a high level of vigilance; particularly on the Election Day, I don’t have a problem in the sense that this cannot on its own be manipulated to the advantage of any one party.”
