  1. Your newspaper house was indicted of publishing a defamatory news story concerning a public figure. As a media law professional and a staff of the newspaper house, discuss at least five points that your newspaper house can raise to defend the indictment in court of law. (30 Marks)

 

  1. You are the lead speaker in the orientation programme for the new reporters your media house just employed. As a professional on the field, discuss in your message how journalists can run afoul of law of contempt. (20 Marks)

 

  1. As a Media Law professional, a public figure sought your advice on how to establish that a news story against him/her is defamatory in law court. Explain to him/her at list four conditions that make the news story defamatory in a law court. (20 Marks)

 

  1. Write substantially on the following ethical theories:
