Usually, it’s hard for student leaders to deliver on promises they made to their colleagues in their quest to occupy leadership positions but certainly not Esinam Afi Seade, the President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Ghana.
As part of her policies to ensure that street lights are placed at areas marked as security zones, the Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD) of the University has begun fixing street lights at these areas on Legon campus.
According the president, it took her unrelenting efforts to get management of the school to get this started.
“After a long period of getting the school to work on the street lights, the PDMSD has finally begun working on illuminating all sides on campus,”
She added that “the good part is I promised that we will do this and it’s happening now”.
Esinam Afi Seade is the second female student to occupy the office of the president of the SRC of University of Ghana in the history of the University.
