Lagos State expresses satisfaction over the conduct of 2020 WASSCE in riverine areas of the state

The Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) in the Lagos State Minstry of education has paid visit to some schools in the Lagos riverine areas of Education District V to observe the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Director-General, OEQA, Mrs Abiola Seriki-Ayeni who visited the schools alongside other OEQA evaluators expressed her satisfaction with the conduct of the students. She remarked that despite the challenges peculiar to the territory, the conduct of the examination was impressive.

Mrs Seriki-Ayeni advised schools with increased population and inadequate infrastructure to opt for the staggered learning system where students are taught in batches. The schools visited include Tomaro Senior and Junior Secondary Schools, Igbologun Senior Secondary School, Ikaare Senior Grammar School, Ivory Senior Grammar School, Ibese, all in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area and Osolu Senior Secondary School, Irewe and Egan Senior High School, Egan-Oromi both in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
