The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman of the Ledzokuku Constituency, Mordecai Quarshie, says his party is working hard to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Mrs Benita Sena Okity-Duah of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr Quashie believes his call for change is going well with the constituents and believes the NPP candidate, Dr Okoe Boye will win the seat.
The NPP faces an uphill task to win the seat having lost the 2012 elections by over 12,000 votes.
When asked whether the party can come behind to erase the deficit in the constituency to win, Mr Quarshie admitted that it will be difficult but his candidate has what it takes to defeat the NDC in the area.
In an interview with the Daily Graphic, Mr Quarshie said “We are working hard to capture the Ledzokuku seat from the NDC and we know our message f change is going on well with the people”.
“It will be difficult though considering the margin in which we lost but I believe our candidate will pull a surprise,” he added.
Historically, the Ledzokuku Constituency seat has not been retained by a candidate and Mr Quarshie believes Mrs Okity Duah can’t break that long-standing jinx.
