1. (a) In one sentence define maladjustment. (3 marks)
(b) Discuss how the human personality is shaped in the context of Freud’s personality structure. (15 marks)
(c) The school as a social environment required the individuals within it to interact effectively for the success of the teaching learning process. For this interaction to occur optimally, both the teachers and learners should be socially well adjusted. If this social adjustment is lacking, the process of teaching and learning will adversely be affected. Mention six (6) implications of having maladjusted learner in the classroom. (12 marks)
2. (a) List six behaviour modification strategies that have been found useful in helping to bring out desirable changes in young school children with behaviour problems. (6 marks)

3. (a) Explain the concept of Oedipus complex in the light of Freud’s personality development. (8 marks)

4 (a) What do you understand by productive orientation as used by Fromm? (3 marks)
(b) Give two (2) similarities and four (4) differences between receptive and exploitation orientations. (12 marks)
(d) List Freud’s stages of psychosexual development in progressive order starting from the lowest stage. (5 marks)
