A first year Chemical Engineering lady of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), on Friday, 24th February, 2017 allegedly committed suicide.
The said lady was identified as Adwoa Agyarkwa Anyimadu-Antwi. Information reaching us is that this lady on Friday afternoon hanged herself with a nylon rope in her room. A roommate of hers got to the door from lectures to find the door locked after she had asked the porters for her room key and been told one of her roommates had come for the key earlier. She struggled a little to get access to the room and going for the spare key to open the door. She found her roommate hanging there in a critical condition and therefore called for help.
Our close sources say ‘She was rushed as an emergency case to the KNUST hospital in the afternoon after 3pm where nurses and doctors tried their best they could but, was to no avail as she gave up her soul after almost twenty minutes’.
The body was conveyed via an ambulance to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she would be kept in the morgue until further developments.
Rumors spreading on the KNUST is the she trailed one of her courses and couldn’t bear the shame and trauma that comes with it making her commit the act. Confirmed sources also made it known to us that she left behind a note for her parents saying, “Sorry Mum and Dad for not being the girl you wanted me to be”.
We pray for the repose of Her Soul
