What types of programs for youth do you think are most effective in reducing delinquent behavior?

There are quite a few programs effective in reducing deliquent behavior. Social learning programs that teach new skills and reinforce behavior and attitudes. Cognitive behavioral programs focus on substance abuse, attitudes, peers, values, anger, and more. There are also programs that train families on appropriate behavioral techniques. Programs like these are effective because they focus on behavioral interventions. Juveniles learn to replace their deliquent behavior through prosocial modeling and reinforcement. Early intervention is a great way to prevent deliquent behavior. The goal is to provide the juveniles with the tools they need to stay out of trouble. There are many programs offered through early intervention such as: mentoring programs, bullying prevention programs, classroom and behavior management programs, and comprehensive community interventions.
