Bowen University – What you need to Know

Bowen University is a private Nigerian university owned and operated by the Nigerian Baptist Convention. Bowen University is located at Iwo in Osun State, Nigeria, and is housed in the old 1,300-acre (6 km²) campus of the Baptist College, a teacher-training institution on a hill just outside the city. Founded in 2001, Bowen University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the small city of Iwo (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Osun. Officially accredited/recognized by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria, Bowen University (BUI) is a small (enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Baptist religion. Bowen University (BUI) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 16 years old H.E. institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students’ past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. BUI also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sport facilities and/or activities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
