1.         (a) Discuss the role of Trade Unions in Industrial Relations.
(b) Why is government intervention in industrial relations necessary?
 
2.         What are the essential elements of a contract of employment.
 
3.         Discuss the regulations on the employment of women and infants.
 
4.         (a) Discuss the reasons for disengagement of employees from an organization.
(b) Explain the rights of an employee whose appointment is being terminated.
 
5.         (a) Explain the term “grievance?”  and discuss the grievance procedure as it
affects an organization.
(b) Discuss the three stages through which grievance interview normally pass
 
6.      Enumerate the various advantages and disadvantages inherent in workplace forums
