The Prestigious University of Ibadan had her convocation ceremony yesterday, 13th November 2017 and the young Mgbechidinma, Chiamaka Linda emerged as the Best Graduating Female Student of the University. Chiamaka who hails from Uli in Ihiala Local Government Area in Anambra State has all praises to give to her parents for their support and prayers. Other awards she received were: Best female graduating student Faculty of science, and Overall best graduating student, Department of Microbiology. Congrats to her!

The Senate of the University of Ibadan, at its Special Meeting held today, Friday, 23 June 2017, received and considered the Interim Report of the Committee set up to look at the remote and immediate causes of the 29 May, 2017 students crisis which led to the suspension of undergraduate academic activities in the University. Sequel to the University of Ibadan Senate’s decision, at its meeting of 18 July, 2016 the New Grading System and Minimum Units to be registered for and passed by students at each level, as well as Change in the status of GES courses in the University are as follows: 1. The average minimum units taken at each Level should be 40 units. 2. The minimum units to be passed at each Level by students in order to proceed to the next Level should be 60% of 40 units. 3. All GES courses, with the exception of the “Use of English I & II (GES 101 and 201)”, should be made to acquire the status of REQUIRED COURSES. 4. To view the list and timetable for clearance, click here All candidates who have been offered provisional admission in the 2016/ 2017 UTME and Direct Entry admissions exercise are to note that the clearance exercise will commence on Tuesday, 29 November, 2016.
