Some of the potential outcomes of registration for predatory sex offenders are they have to inform local law enforcement of their addresses, and the nature of their prior conviction, they have to live under constant public scrutiny for everyone to know what they have done. In some states they are required to place a sign in their front yard saying they are a sex offender, they can not live within so many miles of a church, school or playground. I feel like this is a good thing it lets us know as parents the type of people who live in our neighborhood and keeps us aware of the dangers of these people so we know how to better protect our kids when they are not in our sight.
