What are the potential outcomes of registration of predatory sex offenders?

Registering as a sex offender is required through the SORNA in which requires sex offenders to register and periodically keep update information in their records of their address of residency, phone number, employment status, and/ or school attendance. Such laws were implemented to aid law enforcement   agencies with vital information to assist in monitoring known sex offenders by providing investigation of current allegations as well as to invoke community awareness through such information to provide caution to the citizens and their children. A good percentage of sex offenders will re-enter into society and many rarely return to prison for another sexual crime, in which many contribute this to public shame and humility as one major outcome to the registration process. Another predominant out come to sex offender registration is the reduced rate of recidivism of released sexual offenders, however some negative factors can occur such as community out lash against the registered offender in which can result in harassment, verbal attacks, physical attacks/ injuries, and distraction of property. This system is very beneficial, however I feel that it could have more stricter guidelines in regards to where such sex offenders reside depending on their tier level; as well as more enforced laws of monitoring these offenders. Regardless such registration process benefits both parties the offender and the community and is headed in the right direction.
