Q1 . a. State five different kinds of fi’il khumasiyy (فعل خُماسي)and conjugate all appropriately.
b.Use the past tense of the five verbs in your own meaningful sentences.
- Return each of the verbs to thulaathi mujarrad in meaningful sentences. (60 minutes/30 Marks).
Q2 a. Differentiate between Al-ismu al-jaamid الاسم الجامد and Al-ismu al- mushtaaq الاسم المشتق with examples.
- Give one example for each of the following verbs: muda’af, mithaal, naaqis, lafeef and al-mahmuz (مضعف ومثال وناقص ولفيف ومهموز)and use it in sentences. (45 minutes/20 Marks).
Q3. a. Give five examples for each of sound and healthy verbs (Al-fi’lu Asaheehu) and conjugate them accordingly.
- Define the term الجمعand المثنىand State the mechanism used for formulating جمع المذكر السالم and المثنى with examples. (45 minutes/20 Marks).
Q4. a Construct twenty (20) meaningful Arabic sentences containing at least two of the following:
اسم الآلة، ظرف الزّمان، ظرف المكان، اسم المبالغة، اسم التّفضيل
