1a. Pick any minority language in Nigeria.  State if it is a language of education. If it is, explain what it means for a language to be a language of education.                                                                   18marks
1b. If it is not, explain why it is not.                                                                                                          6marks
1c. Discuss what you can do to make it one.                                                                                         6marks
 
2.   Mention and discuss 2 advantageous reasons for the official recognition of the 3 major Nigerian languages and 5 disadvantageous reasons for recognizing them as majority languages.    20mks
 
3. Write short notes on the following:
i.   a child’s telegraphic language stage  ii. National language policy
iii. Error analysis     iv. Evaluation   v. creativity of language.                                                            20mks
 
4. Discuss in full using 5 points each the notion of:
i. interference in second language learning.                                                                                         10mks
ii. Transfer in second language learning.                                                                                                                10mks
