INSTRUCTION:          Answer question one (1) and  any other two (2) questions
 
 
1.  (i) List and explain at least five functions of a Public Relations practitioner. (10 marks)
(ii) Mention and discuss the social trends that have aided the development of modern
public relations.                                                                                              (20marks)
 
2.  (i) Define a model stating its relevance to Public Relations.
(ii) Explain the John Martson  and Hunt-Grunig Model.                                (20marks)
 
3.  (i) Succintly discuss reasons why you as a Public Relation practitioner think that research
is important.
(ii) Write short notes on the following speaking tasks in Public Relations:
(i)                 Annual General Meetings (ii)  Press Briefings  (iii)  Community Social Event    (iv) Presentations                                                                             (20 marks)
 
4. . (i) The influence of Public Relations on society is a matter of gain and loss. Discuss
(ii) What factors would you as a Public Relations practioner consider when you want to
achieve persuasive communication?                                                            (20 marks)
 
5.  (i)  Discuss the role of law in Public Relations practice.
(ii) List and discuss the important laws in Public Relations practice.                         (20 marks)
