INSTRUCTION: Answer any four questions. All questions carry equal Marks
 
Getting the desired goals and objectives in research output is dependent on the type of Research study or design chosen; critically examine the existing types of these research studies or designs. (17.5 Marks)
Examine the meaning of the word ‘’Research” vis-à-vis the types of research and their importance in an academic study. (17.5 Marks)
Knowledge is a very important tool in basic research and academic study, as a student of Conflict Resolution, vividly outline and discuss the sources of general Knowledge. (17.5 Marks)
Human Inquiry in research has been known to project certain errors  and ‘’Rubbin and Babble (1997)’’ has made a list of these types of errors and the ways in which science provides safe guards against them, critically and comprehensively discuss them. (17.5 Marks)
Social science research is made up of some basic essential ingredients prominent among which is ‘’Variables’’, examine the definition of this concept and the various types of it applicable in research work. (17.5 Marks)
Critically examine the concept of ‘’Hypothesis’’ vis-à-vis its characteristics, sources and functions. (17.5 Marks)
