POSTPONEMENT OF POST-UTME APTITUDE TEST This is to inform the general public that the University of Lagos has postponed its 2017/2018 Post-UTME APTITUDE test previously scheduled for Monday 18th to Friday 22nd September, 2017. A new date will be announced here on the University website. Candidates and the general public are requested to visit www.unilag.edu.ng regularly, for information on the new dates. Roli Odogwu, a 200-Level Mass Communication student, and Linda Elegeonye, a 300-Level Law student, died of burns, days after they were trapped in the hotel room where they were guests. Until their death, the two students were residents of Fagunwa Hall. CAMPUSLIFE gathered that the duo left the campus on Monday to attend an evening event off-campus. The attention of the University of Lagos has been drawn to the publications by Vanguard Newspaper of Tuesday, January 7, 2017 and a blog, olufamous.com with the title, “Unilag Introduces New Dress Code for Students… no more shakara”. The University of Lagos wishes to inform the general public that it has not approved or implemented any new dress code for its students. The general public is hereby advised to discountenance any campaign in the print, electronic or social media claiming that the University of Lagos has introduced a new dress code for its students. All such claims are false and do not emanate from the University. However, it is pertinent to state here that the University encourages students to dress decently and our watchword is “Dress as you want to be addressed”.

University of Lagos management has introduced a dress code for the students of the institution to curb the indecent dressing among the male and female students. This was made known on a notice pasted in the school, it was stated clearly that lecturers and administrators are empowered to correct/exclude students from lectures and official business when they are not properly dressed.
